Q: What's with the sketcher thingy?
Art 9 provides it's own canvas for the artists to play around with. The sketcher itself is hosted by
artgrounds,
but we have a private room dedicated only for Art 9.
ALSO, we have a detailed FAQ concerning the sketcher
here.
Q: <x> doesn't work!
If it doesn't work, let me know, what doesn't work and how doesn't it work... If it's something I'm aware of, you can be sure, that it will be fixed ASAP.
Q: Why isn't <x> feature in the site?
There is a list of features, that are eventually going into Art 9. The list can be found here:
Art9 TODO wiki,
and if it's there, it will eventually fall into art 9, if not... well... I don't know about it... But, if you manage to have a good idea, don't hesitate to throw a message to mediawolf,
or suggest them in
forums.
Q: Can I be a moderator?
Yes. No. Maybe. If I don't know you, or if you're not recommended by at least one of the staffers, then the answer is definitively no. Also, activity on the site is important as well... If you're visiting
the site once per 2 months; then you can't be suitable for the job. And even including all the factors stated before, we may have enough staffers to go around as it is, and we may still say "no". Sorry.
Q: Can I help the site any other way?
Sure. What can I say? I'm a stereotypical programmer, and I'm not as good with public relations as I've wanted to be... So, spread the word and let people know how much Art 9 rocks! Also; if your
PR skills aren't good enough, we might still need your help. For instance; if you know how to create emoticons or something alike shoot message to mediawolf and I'll see what we can be done about it.
Q: You suck!
Dude; That means nothing. Give us information what is wrong and how it can be improved. Send me an email at artalleys@gmail.com with your critiques and solutions, and I'll see what I can do about it.
Art 9 is still quite young and quite flexible site, so we'll most likely come to an creative solution.
Q: Why does development of <x> feature takes so long?
I am the only developer, so working on <x> feature might take longer as expected. I also have a full-time job as well as school. I can't dedicate as much of the time to the site as I want, and I seriously
doubt that that will change anytime soon.
Q: Pro accounts? What's up with that?
The main purpose of the pro accounts is to cover server costs. That's all there is to it. Also -- The pro accounts aren't on my priority list, but they're upcoming.
Pro accounts will unlock some additional features, like member chat and support for independent application development.
Q: My friend has a problem accessing the site...
Well... I'm not really sure about this part. Mostly there is no problem with accessing the site, but; If I could get information on the operating system and web browser; I'd at least have a starting point
to figure out, what to look for.
