Okay, so during the weekend I've managed to push in some updates towards the art9, which included these things:
* Change upload form to make it easier to use (and kill the 6 feet long scrolling to reach the end)
* Added sub-galleries for additional artwork categorizing
* Changing galleries and categories moved to the art itself
* Error coughing out, if submission fails
* Various internal security patches.
* Fix the "mature" option once and for all. Dayum.
I know, I've wrote, that I'll make more stuff this week, but I couldn't. This has taken me far more than I've anticipated. Blech. Sorry... More stuff is coming up this week.
Yes, and now for the pro accounts.
Wait. No. No, please, don't stop reading. It's not as bad as it seems. Before I get beaten up and thrown in the ditch, I should explain myself:
The server costs 'round 80 euros / month (which roughly translates to $120 US) just to keep this site up and running, excluding domain registration and the time I spend on working on the site. I wanted to resolve this by putting up the ads, but not in the place, that I'd read journal entries, how the ads are annoying the members and whatnot, so, they've landed in the footer. But unfortunately; no clicks = no revenue.
But, before you decide to jab me with the nearest spork, please read onwards:
I will not, I repeat:
NOT in anyway cripple the functionality of the current site just to force anyone to go pro. Quite opposite: The things I've promised, will all go free... Yes, all of them... The fixes, the improvements to the message center, theme manager, EVERYTHING.
The current things, that I plan for pro account-only is live chat between the members, and participation in the beta program, which will give you a head on for the new things and stuff... I'll probably think of some more things later.
And don't worry, people :o It's not like the pro account would be like $150 for first 15 minutes

However... I plan the accounts to be less than 1$ US / month.
Anyways -- I'm not making the pro accounts my no.1 priority; There are plenty of other things to do to keep you all happy, so expect more updates during the week.
I think, that this should be it.
